Botiwalla
675 Ponce De Leon Ave | Atlanta, GA 30308
1115 N Brevard St Suite 203, Charlotte, NC 28206
COMING SOON: Asheville, NC
Botiwalla is chef Meherwan Irani’s homage to his life long love of kababs and Irani Cafes. In his hometown of Ahmednagar, India, his grandfather owned Sarosh Canteen, the only Irani Cafe in town. Irani Cafes were originally tea and kabab houses run by Parsis - Zoroastrians that emigrated from Persia to India in the late 19th and early 20th century. Meherwan’s great-grandfather Sheriar was one of those eponymous immigrants. With a strange and wonderful mash-up of Victorian decor & Indian sensibilities, they catered to the English colonialists’ love of high tea & afternoon snacks. Even after the British left India, Irani Cafes survived, adapting their menus to Indian tastes, serving a unique style of Indo-Persian (Parsi) cuisine, and becoming some of the most iconic and revered dining institutions along the way.
Buxton Chicken Palace
56 Patton Ave | Asheville, NC 28801
Inside S&W Market
When Elliott Moss and Meherwan Irani came together to open Buxton Hall Barbecue, the fried chicken sandwich stole the hearts of many, including the editors of Bon Appétit Magazine, who named it the best fried chicken sandwich in the country. Ever since then we've had the dream of giving that beloved sandwich its own restaurant.
For our first chicken palace, we are very excited to be a part of the rebirth of the S&W Market - a building that has been an architectural icon in Asheville since the 20s. We hope this is just the beginning of spreading little chicken palaces wherever the desire for delicious fried chicken sandwiches may be.
Buxton Hall Barbecue
32 Banks Ave | Asheville, NC 28801
Buxton Hall Barbecue opened in 2015, with Elliott Moss tending the smokers and Meherwan Irani bringing his experience as a restaurateur. At Buxton Hall, our team is revitalizing Carolina barbecue – paying respects to the hallowed traditions Moss was raised on while adding our own innovative approach. Our process is rooted in a respect for the barbecue craft and for people.
Pastured pigs are purchased from our friends at Vandele Farms in Lake Lure, NC, butchered in-house, and set on the smoker for hours until the meat is juicy and sweet. Every part of the animal is utilized. The signature pulled pork has always starred, but the menu has recently expanded to offer brisket, ribs, sausage, and more…with a lineup of seasonal sides and desserts that blend Southern heritage and modern cooking.

Chai Pani Asheville

Chai Pani literally means “tea and water.” It's slang in India for going out for a cup of tea, a tasty bite, a snack, or “a little something.” In Downtown Asheville (and now in Downtown Decatur) it means innovative, fun, affordable and delicious Indian cuisine. We'd go so far as to say it's “mindblasting.”
